In the summer of 2020, the Ontario Professional Planners Institute's Council approved the creation of an Anti-Black Racism in Planning Task Force (ABRP TF) with the desire to create an overarching strategy to remove systemic barriers to the inclusion of Black community members in the planning profession and to increase representation of Black community members in the planning profession.
The BPUA commends the OPPI Council for approving the 14 recommendations and action plan submitted by the OPPI's Anti-Black Racism Task Force. We look forward to the meaningful implementation of the recommendations.
